Kang Shi Chul is a marketing expert and trend strategist. After graduating from the College of Liberal Arts at Korea University in 1983, he began his career at the advertising agency Oricom. In the late 1990s, while earning his PhD in Business Administration, he was among the earliest to propose forward-looking industrial strategies for internet business. Over more than 30 years, he has researched the broader IT industry — including internet business, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence — establishing himself as a leading authority in the field. He has collaborated with Professor Kwon Soon Yong, a pioneer in smart hospital development, to research AI-based medical systems. He taught at the University of Oregon in the United States (1987) and at the Graduate School of Business at Sogang University (2014), and was the first in Korea to develop electric vehicles and electric fishing boats. He currently serves as Chairman of Tebulus, Chairman of AMD Investment Group, and Chairman of the Alliance for the Eradication of AI Illiteracy. His awards include the Korea Innovation Enterprise Award (2020), Korea Top CEO Award (2018), and the Creative Management Award (2017). His published works include The Era of Meta-Medicine Has Arrived, AI Big History: 10 to the 22nd Power, Artificial Intelligence Networks and Super Business, Disruption, and Handicap Marketing.
