Our Story

"For Country, Religions, Monarchy, and People"

Ms. Chosita Panichsawad (黄雪珠 Huang Xue Zhu), a Thai-Chinese publisher born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand (studied at Rajini School and Thammasat University), and educated in the United States of America (Stark County High School and almost Harvard, as she was offered to study at Harvard Kennedy School but turned it down in order to pursue her graduate education at Fudan University), the Republic of Croatia (Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy), and the People’s Republic of China (Fudan University), is the Founder, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of BrillianceHuihuang Publishing.

Ms. Chosita has always found joy and inspiration in books. Her love of reading is not only a personal passion but also the foundation of her vision for BrillianceHuihuang. She established the publishing house to share with Thai readers the remarkable works that have fascinated and moved her, hoping that they, too, will cherish them just as deeply as she does.

Before establishing BrillianceHuihuang, she served as a Voluntary Fundraiser for GiveHerFive, an Indian nonprofit organization promoting women’s rights to education and better sanitation. She later worked as a Lobbyist and became the first Foreign Rights Executive of Matichon Public Co., Ltd., one of Thailand’s most respected news and publishing companies, where she remains a Shareholder.

Drawing on her expertise in international relations and publishing, Ms. Chosita founded BrillianceHuihuang Publishing to bridge the intellectual and cultural worlds of East and West.

The Chinese name 辉煌 (Huīhuáng) was chosen in honor of her mother—the first in her family to earn a university degree—whose given name in the Teochew dialect rhymes with the Mandarin pronunciation of Huīhuáng, meaning “brilliance” or “radiance.”

To build a strong foundation for BrillianceHuihuang, Ms. Chosita partnered with her wonderful friend from her university days, Mr. Sahavas Chalermchaiwat (蔡创贵 Cai Chuang Gui), CEO and Editor at Phetpraguy Co., Ltd. Mr. Sahavas also serves as a Financial Advisor at Wealth Republic Mutual Fund Brokerage Securities Co., Ltd., providing independent financial advice to corporate and individual clients.

The Legacy of Phetpraguy Publishing

Phetpraguy Publishing, founded in 2005, began as a small collective of passionate book lovers united by the belief that “books are instruments that cultivate individuals and society in a sustainable way.” Though modest in its early years, the company grew steadily, strengthened by over 30 years of industry experience from the Pailin Booknet Public Co., Ltd. network.

This foundation enabled Phetpraguy to evolve into a fully integrated publishing house handling editorial work, production, marketing, and nationwide distribution. The company eventually grew into more than 20 imprints, including Phetpraguy, Czech, Mandarin, Sunchild Learning, and G-Junior. Its publishing portfolios include children’s books, education and test preparation, literature, psychology, self-development, history, culture, business, economics, marketing, and spirituality, supporting lifelong learning in every dimension.

Phetpraguy’s publications are available in over 6,500 retail locations nationwide, including major bookstores, convenience stores, supermarkets, and online platforms. It is also active in the digital and e-book markets, creating a sustainable ecosystem that connects authors, publishers, and readers across Thailand.

Phetpraguy received the National Outstanding Publisher Award in 2010, which recognized its dedication to quality and its contributions to fostering a reading culture in Thailand.

Today, the company continues to uphold its initial principles of producing meaningful content, nurturing sustainable reading habits, and shaping a society that values learning. With its expanded scope as a comprehensive content-creation enterprise, Phetpraguy now provides editorial, design, printing, marketing, and distribution services, collaborating with both Thai and international authors.

With a long-term vision toward 2030, it aims to introduce high-quality international works to Thai readers and bring Thai voices to the global arena.

Driven by a team that truly loves books and believes in their transformative power, Phetpraguy Publishing continues to move forward with unwavering purpose. Every book produced carries the intention to share knowledge, experience, and inspiration—a spirit that has been nurtured for more than three decades that continues to shine brilliantly into the future.

A Shared Vision

Together, Ms. Chosita publishes original Thai works and acquires foreign titles for Thai publication under BrillianceHuihuang Publishing and promotes them through her partnerships with Thailand’s news media network, while Mr. Sahavas oversees distribution through Phetpraguy’s nationwide network.

They are also guided by the invaluable mentorship of Dr. Chatchalerm Chalermchaiwat, PhD (蔡松梅 Cai Song Mei), Founder and Chairman of Phetpraguy, former Vice Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister, and Advisory Chairman to the Director of the Trade Organization of the Office of the Teachers and Educational Personnel Welfare Promotion Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand.

BHP is further strengthened by the addition of Ms. Kingfha Seneewong na Ayudthaya (蔡天梅 Cai Tian Mei), who joins the team as Senior Editor. With more than 25 years of editorial experience, Ms. Kingfha began her career as the editor of a Thai magazine in Europe before transitioning into book publishing, where she has served as the Editor-in-Chief for over two decades. A remarkably versatile writer and translator, her body of work spans historical narratives, documentaries, novels, short stories, and poetry, with many pieces published under various pen names. She has also translated a wide range of children’s and young adult literature, introducing global stories to Thai readers with both warmth and precision.

For more than 20 years, she has been the Chief Manuscript Editor at Phetpraguy Publishing, overseeing every aspect of manuscript refinement from line editing and stylistic polishing to cover copy and conceptual direction.

As a lifelong reader, her love for literature began in childhood. By the age of ten, she had already devoured Gu Long’s 小李飛刀系列 (Little Li’s Flying Dagger Series), Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, and Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Books have remained her most constant companions, not simply a profession but the very breath and rhythm of her life.

Our Team

Symbolism of the BHP Logo

The logo of BHP embodies a synthesis of Eastern philosophy, artistic refinement, and intellectual illumination. Each element—the Dragon, Phoenix, Brush, Book, and Circle—reflects the union of Wisdom, Art, and Civilization, echoing the meaning of 辉煌“Radiant Brilliance.”

The Dragon — Power, Wisdom and Creation

In Chinese culture, the Dragon (龙) represents Heaven’s creative energy (天之气) which is a force of intellect, courage, and transformation. It is a celestial being (天之灵) possessing the boundless power of wisdom and creative spirit that soars freely, bringing rain to nourish the earth, symbolizing the mind that gives life to ideas. The dragon is the thinker, the seeker, and the creator. It is the spirit that dares to question and dream.

Facing the Phoenix, it embodies strength in harmony rather than dominance.

For BHP, the Dragon stands as the guardian of knowledge, courage, and innovation—the unwavering will to pursue truth and to transform thought into brilliance.

Dragon = Power, Wisdom, Creation

The Phoenix — Art, Beauty, and Renewal

The Phoenix (凤凰) is a symbol of virtue, elegance, and rebirth.

The BHP symbol features a stylized Phoenix that resembles a swan in its graceful form. Combining the swan’s grace and innocence with the timeless myth of the Chinese Phoenix, this design choice symbolizes the bridge between the Eastern and Western worlds.

Phoenix = Art, Beauty, Spirit

Together with the Dragon, it completes the cosmic Yin–Yang balance:

  • Dragon = Yang, representing strength, power, intellect, and logic

  • Phoenix = Yin, representing virtue, grace, renewal, emotion, intuition, nobility, and immortal beauty

The Phoenix symbolizes the spirit of art, the grace of language, and the rebirth of ideas through literature.

They stand for the perfect union of Heaven and Earth, the balance of wisdom and beauty, intellect and emotion, tradition and modernity, and strength and compassion.

The Brush — Culture and Expression

At the heart of the design lies the Calligraphy Brush (毛笔)—the symbolic bridge between intellect (Dragon) and art (Phoenix). It represents creation through expression, the tool that records wisdom and transmits culture.

In Chinese philosophy, the brush is revered as the vessel of the Dao (道之器)—a medium through which truth flows from the heart into the world.

Brush = Expression, Culture, Transmission of Truth

The Book — Foundation of Knowledge and Civilization

The Open Book beneath all other elements signifies the grounding of all creation in knowledge.

It represents recording, learning, and transmission—the foundation of every civilization.

The book connects inspiration from above to human understanding below, forming what ancient scholars called “the bridge between Heaven and Earth.”

Book = Knowledge, Learning, Legacy

The Circle — Unity, Harmony, and Eternity

The Circle symbolizes Wuji (无极)—the infinite unity before duality, the cosmic whole.

It conveys perfection, continuity, and the eternal flow of wisdom and art.

Encircling all other symbols, it expresses that knowledge, art, and culture exist in harmony within one enlightened whole.

Circle = Unity, Balance, Eternity

Freedom Within the Open Circle

The circle in the BHP emblem is not fully closed. It is a deliberate choice symbolizing that the Dragon and the Phoenix are not confined but free. They move in harmony within the circle, yet they are never caged. Their freedom represents intellectual independence and creative free will which are the essence of all true art and scholarship.

The Dragon, symbol of knowledge and power, and the Phoenix, symbol of grace and renewal, both exist within the same universe yet remain free to soar beyond its borders as they are living, evolving forces.

In classical Chinese philosophy, a perfect circle (圆) symbolizes harmony and unity, while an open circle suggests continuity, growth, and openness to the infinite.

A closed circle suggests perfection already achieved.

An open circle suggests perfection in progress—a universe that continues to expand, to learn, and to create.

Thus, the open circle becomes a portal, not a boundary. It is a space where wisdom and imagination breathe, evolve, and transcend limitation. The circle remains open so that thought and creation may always be free.

The open circle expresses BHPs core belief that:

  • Knowledge is an ever-expanding light, not a fixed form.

  • Art and intellect are in dialogue, not bound by limits.

  • Civilization itself is a story still being written.

This open form invites readers, writers, and thinkers from every culture to step through the gap, to enter the circle, and to join in the shared pursuit of brilliance.

Unified Meaning of the Logo — The Harmony of Wisdom, Art, and Freedom

The Dragon, Phoenix, Brush, Book, and Circle are five sacred symbols that come together in the BHP logo to make a living sign of enlightenment and creation.

At its heart lies the balance of Yin and Yang:

  • The Dragon embodies power, knowledge, and the active pursuit of truth.

  • The Phoenix, rendered in a Western swan-like form, embodies beauty, renewal, and emotional grace.

  • Between them stands the Calligraphy Brush, channeling the light of intellect into artistic expression.

  • Beneath them rests the Open Book, the foundation of learning and civilization.

  • All are encircled by the Open Circle, a symbol not of confinement but of infinite freedom and becoming.

The circle’s gentle opening allows the Dragon and the Phoenix to roam freely, signifying that wisdom and art are never imprisoned but continually expanding, guided by curiosity, courage, and creative will. Together, these elements form a universe where knowledge and art, intellect and beauty, and freedom and harmony coexist.

The Colors of BrillianceHuihuang Publishing

Gold and White — The Radiance of Wisdom and Purity

Gold — The Light of Brilliance

Gold embodies illumination, wisdom, and achievement, the radiant energy that brings life and meaning to knowledge.

In both Eastern and Western traditions, gold represents divine light:

  • In Chinese culture, “金 (jīn)” is one of the Five Elements (五行), symbolizing purity, prosperity, and heavenly virtue.

  • In Western tradition, gold signifies truth, enlightenment, and immortality.

For BHP, gold reflects the light of civilization itself, the brilliance born from human thought, scholarship, and creativity.

Gold = Brilliance, Wisdom, Illumination

White — The Purity of Thought

White represents clarity, openness, and truth. It is the pure foundation upon which wisdom is written.

  • In Chinese philosophy, “白 (bái)” relates to emptiness and sincerity, a state of mind free from bias, ready to receive enlightenment.

  • In Western thought, white conveys innocence, peace, and creative potential.

For BHP, white is the blank page, the calm space from which ideas emerge and brilliance is born.

White = Purity, Truth, Potential

Gold and White Together — The Harmony of Light

When gold and white unite, they form the perfect duality: the radiant brilliance of knowledge (Gold) and the pure clarity of understanding (White).

Their harmony symbolizes the eternal dialogue between wisdom and purity, between the mind that shines and the heart that listens.

Together, they express the essence of BrillianceHuihuang Publishing:

“Ignite Minds, Craft Brilliance.”

5. Circle — Embrace Freedom and Harmony

To uphold intellectual independence and creative freedom, cultivating harmony between wisdom and beauty, reason and imagination.

Our Core Purpose

“To publish books that enlighten, empower, and endure —

books that ignite minds, craft brilliance, and keep the light of civilization alive.

Our Core Values

Our values reflect the eternal balance of Wisdom, Art, and Freedom—the same harmony embodied in our emblem of the Dragon, Phoenix, Calligraphy Brush, Book, and Circle.

They are the guiding principles that shape how we think, create, and contribute to the world.

1. Knowledge

— The Spirit of the Dragon —

We believe that true brilliance begins with the pursuit of knowledge, truth, and understanding.

We honor the Dragon’s intellect, ever seeking, ever questioning, as we publish works that enlighten minds and expand horizons.

“To learn deeply is to live wisely.”

2. Beauty

— The Grace of the Phoenix —

Beauty is not only in art, but in virtue, sincerity, and creation.

Like the Phoenix, we believe in the power of renewal and refinement, celebrating the aesthetic spirit that uplifts humanity and inspires transformation.

“To create beautifully is to elevate the soul.”

3. Expression

— The Essence of the Brush —

Words carry the voice of civilization.

We value authentic expression, encouraging every author, translator, and thinker to write with clarity, courage, and heart.

Through language, we connect worlds and give form to the unseen.

“To express truthfully is to honor the Dao of words.”

4. Legacy

— The Foundation of the Book —

Books are bridges across time.

We publish to preserve wisdom and nurture generations, ensuring that the ideas of today become the foundations of tomorrow.

Each book we create is a vessel of culture, a record of civilization’s evolving brilliance.

“To preserve knowledge is to continue life’s story.”

5. Freedom

— The Infinity of the Circle —

We uphold intellectual freedom and creative independence as the lifeblood of art and scholarship.

The open circle in our emblem reminds us that truth and imagination must remain unbound, always expanding toward new possibilities.

“To think freely is to keep brilliance alive.”

Together, these five values form our guiding light:

Knowledge (Dragon) — Think deeply.

Beauty (Phoenix) — Create gracefully.

Expression (Brush) — Speak truthfully.

Legacy (Book) — Preserve meaning.

Freedom (Circle) — Dream infinitely.

They are the five rays of Brilliance, the living essence of 辉煌 (Huīhuáng) —

the radiant harmony of mind, art, and spirit.
